Shackles Analysis

Version 1: I think our first rehearsal of shackles was slightly less stronger than the second one despite us all singing together. I believe this because of how it was clear that not everyone knew the words and struggled to find the right pitch alongside that. The words are quite hard to pronounce properly as they're so fast it's almost like a tongue twister in Shackles. However, I think we're able to harmonise strongly together as a class and it sounds quite cool. Version 2:  However, our second take was more confident as we

Count On me Anyalsis

During our rehersal of Count On Me by Bruno Mars, I noticed that although we’re still fairly new to singing this song, we are able to perform the harmonies really strongly and maintain a clear articulation throughout the song. However i think we need to keep practicing to ensure we know all of the lyrics and what happens at the end (the last chorus).

When I Grow Up Analysis

I think in our overall performance of When I Grow up we created a child like atmosphere through a mimal use of characterisation despite maintaing a strong tone quality. Personally , I think I demonstrated a prominant use of projection, especially as my microphone was almost disconnected, and my group harmonised accurately with the other groups.

Ensemble analysis

When I Grow Up- Matilda At the start of term when we first begun practicing this song, I didn't enjoy singing it. I believe this was because I couldn't find the correct pitch or tone within my vocal range to make it sound satisfactory and thought the song was quite high and difficult to sing. However, as we rehearsed it some more and introduced our different harmonies within our groups, I started to enjoy it and found the correct pitch that was best for my singing voice. I also think my group (Molly, Ella, Demi and myself) are fairly confident at singing so having them with me helps and we are able to perform the song strongly now after some practice. I think our class as a whole choir has really improved our performance of When I Grow Up. This is because our singing at the start of term was regualalry discreet and we all used to get confused with our harmonies but I've found that due to our consistent run throughs we've allowed ourselves to become a lot more confident...
